My name is Heather Russo, Licensed Massage Therapist. I am the mother of three children and a life long martial arts student and teacher. I grew up in Austin, Texas, the daughter of "hippie" parents who were into health before it was trendy. My upbringing on garden vegetables and sunshine made me healthy and strong. I raised my three beautiful children with all of those good attributes; health, fitness, and a love of nature.
My love of health and fitness brought my family and I into martial arts. I have devoted the last 15 years of my life to becoming a master and a 4th degree black belt. With a family of athletes came a lot of aches and pains, so I began my journey into massage therapy utilizing touch for comfort and pain relief. This alone allowed me to see that gentleness relieves muscles that are tight and in pain. This gentleness also calms the nervous system and allows you deep into the underlying muscles.
Being a mom, I have also realized the need for this same gentle touch during pregnancy and for post-partum care. Since graduation, I have taken a strong interest in prenatal, infancy, and pregnancy massage and all it has to offer for the mother and baby.
